Stumpy Yet Stubborn

Photographer:

Ruthie is a tiny yet mighty Pembroke Welsh Corgi. What she lacks in height, she more than makes up for with sassiness, sweetness, and a whole lot of stubbornness. It’s the trifecta that helped her beat lymphoma – twice! That and two rounds of chemotherapy and infinite belly rubs from countless strangers she befriends on her walks. Neighborhood Emotional Support Dog, at your service!

Diagnosed with lymphoma at 2.5 years old, Ruthie beat the odds and turned 5 in July 2025. Unfortunately, her cancer came back shortly before her birthday and has not responded to a third round of chemotherapy. Until it’s her time, she’s being spoiled tirelessly with treats and affection from anyone she meets.
