“Our Angel On Earth”: Codi,
We lost our baby at age 12.
Our sweet bundle of puppy love joined our family when she was eight weeks
old. Codi loved life and her family. Everyday was a new adventure. Codi would rather be outside -playing in the monkey grass, running with her lab sister, exploring the woods surrounding our home. She loved her great big fluffy white bone and eating ice cream. She never met a stranger; she was always attuned to the needs of others; Everyone who met her called her “An Angel on Earth”.
Codi was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma of the liver in 2022. After two consultations, we decided her best chance would be to remove the tumor. She had a wonderful, caring surgeon and staff. Surgery was a success and her prognosis was very good. We were so relieved, thankful and blessed. Our golden was beating the odds. Three days after we brought her home, Codi stopped breathing. We tried so hard to save her but she was gone; our world was shattered. No one could tell us why. My sweet Codi, I miss her everyday. She was such a trooper. It has been so heart wrenching after everything we did to protect her health, we lost her to cancer. Loving Codi changed my life; losing her did the same.
