Lola (the ultimate Survivor)
Michelle Crowton
We adopted Lola at 9 weeks old in May 2011. She was the only one in her litter to survive parvo. She also had two ACL surgeries at 5 and 7 years old. Lola contracted Valley Fever when she was 9 and had to take anti-fungal meds for two years before it cleared up. She also got Neospora in 2021 and had to take very strong anti-biotics to get rid of it. She was diagnosed in May 2024 with mast cell cancer, and we were told she only had 90 days to live because it was already in multiple organs. It is now July 2025 and she still wants to eat and go for walks everyday. She loves to go for rides in the car and road trips in the RV (she always rides ‘shotgun’). She is a true survivor and has been our best friend and side-kick since day one. Everyday is a blessing with Lola and we can’t remember life before her, nor can we imagine how life will be without her.
