Logan and Oliver
Jordan Wahlstrom
In May 2023, Logan was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and given days, if not weeks, to live. We opted to move forward with chemotherapy, changing protocols multiple times throughout that first summer, ultimately stopping treatment after he was diagnosed with reflex dyssynergia. With nothing to lose, we sought out a holistic vet for acupuncture, laser therapy, and Homotoxicology with great success.
Meanwhile, something was going on with Oliver that we couldn’t identify and it wasn’t until December 2023 when we discovered a cancerous tumor in his nasal cavity. Oliver completed Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (SRT) in January 2024 and for a short while we had our lively boy back. On July 11, 2024—on the most beautiful summer day—Oliver’s battle with cancer came to an end, and we have been missing his smile ever since!
Logan continued to defy all odds and lived for nearly two more years. He enjoyed two extra summers of swimming and snuggles, and on April 28, 2025 he joined his brother for a life free of cancer and never ending lake days.
