Jake

Jake, pictured during one of his many beloved Cape Cod vacations.
At the age of 12, Jake was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the anal gland and osteosarcoma in his sinus cavity. He underwent successful surgery to remove the affected anal gland, but unfortunately the osteosarcoma had already metastasized to his lungs.
Jake courageously underwent three radiation treatments along with chemotherapy. He also received therapeutic immunotherapy through the Yale Vaccine program. Despite every effort, Jake survived eight months after his diagnosis.
In August 2025, Jake began experiencing seizures, and we made the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye. He took a big piece of our hearts with him, but we will always be grateful for the unconditional love, happiness, and countless memories he gave us. We miss him every single day.
