Ella Louise
8 years young – deceased. I decided to choose this photo because its one of the things I look back on during her diagnosis that I am happy I did. On her last birthday, I decided to do the dog art painting challenge that they essentially use their tongue with to paint the canvas as they lick peanut butter.

Ella was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the pelvis at the young age of 7 on April 11, 2024 after nearly 2 months of being misdiagnosed by 3 different vets. After advocating for her and coming to a diagnosis, she underwent a hemipelvectomy, 6 rounds of chemotherapy, and was a participant for the EGFR/HER2 immunotherapy. Various CT scans were performed and 6 week XRAYS to attempt staying ahead of this cruel disease coming back. Unfortunately, she made it 6 months from the date of diagnosis as it returned back to the pelvis along with the vessels in her lungs and we lost our world on October 11, 2024 — just a week after including her in our elopement that included just the three of us. Not a day goes by where my heart doesn’t break. Mom and Dad will spend a lifetime missing you and you truly were the best girl. We love you Ella (goose).
