Cooper

Our sweet, special, blue boy Cooper. Cooper was larger than life, loved to run, and was always looking for a snack! Cooper joined our family with his adoption of he and his bonded Weimaraner sister in July 2022. He was the talkative senior of the pack at a few months short of his 10-year birthday when we said goodbye. A goodbye that spanned a whirlwind of two weeks and a cancer diagnosis. Week one started as an odd hind leg limp out of nowhere and a visit to the vet for x-rays showing signs of arthritis due to age, led to a slower property walk another day, and then a Saturday where Cooper could not walk at all using either of his hind legs. Week two began on Sunday with an ER visit followed by an ultrasound and MRI to rule out any spinal injury, instead resulted in an osteosarcoma diagnosis. . . tumors in his spine. Cooper had some good days, some better day, and not so good days, but was incredibly brave. This second week we spent around the clock with his sisters, surrounded by snuggles, snacks and as much outside sitting that he wanted. We said goodbye to Cooper in the earliest morning hours of Monday, May 26, 2025. Two weeks that began with running to a goodbye before the final results came that would inform a treatment plan that was being discussed with precaution due to his DCM condition that was diagnosed three years prior. Cooper was an incredible boy and will forever be missed, never forgotten. We love you sweet boy.
