Brienne

Brie came to us as a 10 month old puppy, full of love and life. She was an active dog, working as a partner in our dog training business and also as a beloved therapy dog in a rehabilitation hospital. Brie was a natural therapy dog, loving all the attention and brightening the day of anyone who got to see her happy smile. Her nickname was Easy Breezy.

Just shy of her 7th birthday, Brie’s routine bloodwork showed abnormalities. When we learned she had lymphocytic leukemia, we were shocked. She seemed completely healthy. We caught the disease early, allowing us to start treatment and hope for the best. 130 days was the prognosis we were given.

Defying the odds, Brie bravely underwent chemo for eight months, continued her therapy work, and inspired everyone she met with her joyful spirit. She still swam, played fetch, and insisted on belly rubs on our laps. No one would’ve known she was sick until the very end. Her example is one we will never forget and were so blessed to share.
