Brandi, age 12
Brandi is a lively and protective chihuahua who was adopted at 10 weeks old and quickly became the fearless leader of her pack, which includes a 17-year-old Jack Russell and a 9-year-old Pomeranian. Always full of energy, she loves her toys, sunbathing, chewing bones, and being close to her people. In December 2023, after a sudden drop in energy and appetite, a lump on her elbow was discovered and later diagnosed as grade II soft tissue sarcoma. Despite surgery with incomplete margins and the likelihood of recurrence, Brandi remains as joyful and spirited as ever. She now has regular vet visits for monitoring, and we check her frequently for any new growths, along with the rest of the pack. She’s a fighter. And we make the best of every day we have.
