Meet our Buddha Boy!

Buddha, Chinese Shar-Pei Mix, 2014-2022. We adopted Buddha at 12 weeks old along with his brother Bamboo. The two were inseparable. Buddha was diagnosed with cancer in the fall of 2021. We decided to take the holistic approach with his treatment instead of chemo. For one he’s a shar-pei and treatment anxiety can bring on shar-pei fever and he was terrified of the vet. We found one who put him on a regimen of Chinese herbs, acupuncture, home made food and functional mushrooms along with several other supplements. We noticed his eyes looking so clear and it gave us hope. I just think time was not on our side by the time he was diagnosed. We spoke to a pet communicator and she told us he didn’t know he was sick. He said he just got tired after playing with our new puppy but he assumed it was because he was older than she was. His energy was great up until two days before his passing. Our hearts are forever broken until we see him again at the Rainbow Bridge.
