Soprano

Reds Soprano is a retired racing greyhound. He is 9 years old. He ran 80 races at Derby Lane, Daytona Beach and Wheeling Downs before he retired in July 2021. He is one of my many foster failures. He is my big chill goofy boy. He is a patron favorite at The Greyhound Guild booth at the AZ Renaissance Festival. He ended up with a soft tissue sarcoma tumor on his elbow. Greyhounds have very thin skin so there was much discussion about removal versus amputation. I decided to have him undergo the debulking surgery which occurred on July 10th. He is recovering well and even decided he was well enough to use the dog door within 24 hours of surgery. (The dog door is now locked. My other 4 greyhounds are not happy but have not messed in the house.) As long as he continues to heal well, radiation is the next step. He is strong and will beat this cancer, I am positive.
